I’m Dominique, a wife, mom of two daughters, and founder of Mamahood & Co.

I know what it feels like to believe God has called you to build something and still wonder how you’ll do it while raising your children. That question is part of my story and the reason I’m building this community.

At the end of 2022, I felt God calling me to leave my career in real estate. I didn’t know what would come next, but I believed it was time to obey.

In 2023, while I was home praying and journaling, I felt Him leading my husband and me to grow our family. I was excited, but I had questions. Why leave a career that brought in money just before taking on the cost of raising a child?

We welcomed our first daughter in early 2024. That same year, I began feeling called to build a business. Now my question was, “How do I start something of my own when I’m already needed so much at home?”

Through 2024 and 2025, I started and stopped. I second-guessed my ideas and questioned whether I had understood what God was asking me to do.

When we welcomed our second daughter near the end of 2025, that question felt even bigger. But I began to see that the struggle I was living through could help me understand other moms facing it, too.

I needed help figuring out how to build a business while caring for my children. I also needed women who would take my goals seriously, understand why my plans kept changing, and pray with me through the uncertainty.

That’s the kind of support I’m working to create here.

Through Mamahood & Co., I help moms explore what they could sell, take their first steps toward earning income, and connect with other moms in business. I share from my own experience and bring in experts who can teach us in the areas where we need more help.

My faith is the foundation of this work. It’s what brought me here, and it continues to guide how I build.

I’m still learning how to care for my family and move forward with what God has placed on my heart. As I do, I’m making room for other moms to learn and grow alongside me.

You can be a woman, a devoted mother, and an ambitious entrepreneur in the same season. Building may look different with children in your life. Your goals still deserve a place in it.
